Quann Orr

SUPERINTENDENT

Quann has over 8 years of experience with Morrison Engineers and was a shop mechanic, driller, and field crew member before being promoted to superintendent. He leads our field crews and coordinates site activities for our geostructural design-build construction projects while adhering to safety requirements and budget, and is known for motivating his team and keeping a positive attitude. His background includes experience as a carpenter and mechanic. When he’s not working on a jobsite or in our shop, Quann loves working on cars, fishing, and spending time with his kids.

Most enjoyable geostructural project so far?

“The I-73 Taxiway Bridge project for the Piedmont Triad Airport—it was a long, challenging soil nail and micropile job. I loved the teamwork. Everyone stepped up to do whatever it took to get the job done, even if something wasn’t normally our job. I was a mechanic at the time, but I ran the grout plant to help improve production. We felt a huge sense of accomplishment when it was done and were excited for the next project.”
